It's Opening Weekend

More than 600 exhibits are ready to explore and over 1,000 experts can’t wait to answer your questions at this year’s Great Big Home + Garden show, kicking off today at Cleveland’s I-X Center and running through Sunday, February 10. Whether you start with the fairytale! themed Garden Showcase or head to the Idea Homes first to envision your next home project, there is something for everyone at this year’s show!
• Sherwin-Williams Day and Red Hat Society Day (Friday) – Visit any Sherwin-Williams store location to pick up a free general admission ticket to the show for Friday only, or wear your Red Hat Society attire on and purchase a discount ticket for $10. Four ticket maximum per Red Hat purchase.
• Eric and Lindsey Bennett, hosts of HGTV’s Desert Flippers, appearing on the Main Stage (Friday and Saturday) – Known for defying triple-digit desert heat in Palm Springs, California, to renovate dilapidated homes while raising three small children on their HGTV show Desert Flippers, Eric and Lindsey will appear on the Main Stage February 1 and 2.
• Loretta Paganini Cooking Stage Demos (Friday-Sunday) – Cooking demos will be held throughout the show on the Loretta Paganini Cooking Stage including demos opening weekend on brunch favorites (Saturday at 12pm), quinoa salads (Saturday at 3pm), phyllo favorites chocolate (Saturday at 11am), (Saturday at 5pm), and low country cooking (Sunday at 2pm).
• Student Model Home Design Contest Awards (Saturday) – See the work of the top 10 finalists of the 21st Annual Student Model Home Design Contest featuring the theme, “The Great Multi-Unit Townhouse”, and find out who'll take home the top prize during the awards ceremony on Saturday at 10:30am on The Main Stage. Participants are students in grades 10 to 12 who are taking classes in engineering, architecture, design and the building trades at schools across Northeast Ohio. Visit booth #1691 to see their designs.
• Hero Day (Sunday) – All military personnel, veterans, fire fighters and police officers will receive FREE admission to The Great Big Home + Garden Show on Sunday, February 3 by simply showing a valid ID at the Box Office.
