What are your featured products this season?
"A fully-constructed 6,200 square-foot Ultimate Smart Home designed by Xtend Technologies and custom-built by Pepperwood Homes will inspire visitors with ideas for outfitting their own homes with the latest in design and smart home technologies. Custom-crafted wood beams surround the inviting entryway that leads into the first floor open kitchen with large, granite center island. Inspiring visitors with ideas for their own entertainment spaces, whether indoors or out, the home provides the perfect set-up for having family and friends over for a party. Guests can recline in one of eight leather, power-reclining home theater seats while experiencing live demonstrations in the Xtend Technologies’ Home Theater. Special features include a 13-channel THX and Dolby ATMOS state-of-the-art sound system, a 110-inch 4k ultra high-definition screen, custom acoustical sound paneling and a home automation solution that allows for complete control of all entertainment features, lighting, heating/cooling, door locks, and security cameras."
What home design and decor trends are you anticipating for 2017?
"Lighting and Shading Control, Home Automation – the connected home, Voice Control."
What inspires your products?
"The passion we have as a company for technology and the advancements it makes in our everyday lives. We love technology and helping our clients find ways to entertain themselves and their guests, achieve convenience, and maintain security within their homes."
What is your favorite part of The Great Big Home + Garden Show?
"The Feature Home – there is not a better place to get ideas and inspire your next project."
What advice would you give homeowners?
"Anytime you take on a project for your home the first step should be establishing a realistic budget for what you are looking to accomplish. Having a realistic budget allows you to work with potential contractors to achieve your goals while ensuring you stay within your budget. Some people assume that if they share their budget with a contractor that they will not get a fair price, but the reality is that all contractors realize that there is a lot of competition and they must stay competitive to win your business. As a homeowner you always have the option to acquire competitive proposals, so don’t be afraid to share your budget with your contractors."
What is your creative process like?
"We have a 6,500 square foot showroom designed to educate our clients on what technology is available for their homes. Our process starts with a consultation in or showroom where our clients can learn about all the technology solutions available to them today. Our showroom is an ever evolving display of the latest trends in home technology. A simple 30 minute trip though our showroom gives our clients inspiration for their own homes."
The Great Big Home + Garden Show takes over the I-X Center February 3-12, 2017. With hundreds of home improvement experts, including HGTV stars Kortney Wilson and Scott McGillivray, coming together to help with your next project, it's a must-attend event for Cleveland homeowners. Don't have tickets yet? Get 2-for-1 when you connect with us on Facebook and treat a friend or family member to the show. We can't wait to see you there!
